Eccleston Law Launches Investigation of Secured Notes Issued by Odyssey Properties III, LLC

By James Eccleston

ADVERTISEMENTS

The attorneys at Eccleston Law have launched an investigation of the potential claims by investors who purchased secured notes issued by Odyssey Properties, III, LLC or any of their affiliated entities, which include the following:

  • Odyssey Residential, LLC
  • Odyssey Residential II, LLC
  • Odyssey Diversified, LLC
  • Odyssey Diversified VI, LLC
  • Odyssey Diversified V, LLC
  • Odyssey Diversified VI, LLC
  • Odyssey Diversified VII, LLC
  • Odyssey Diversified VIII, LLC
  • Odyssey Diversified IX, LLC

As early as 2006, Odyssey Properties III is believed to have sold secured notes to investors nationwide through a Regulation D private placement securities offering. Investors who were sold the Odyssey Properties III notes are believed to have sought a fixed income investment offering higher yields than other debt securities.  However, investors may not have received full disclosure of the risks of the investment, including the illiquid nature of the secured notes along with the fact that they could lose their principal.

In August of 2010, Odyssey Properties III filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, which may jeopardize the secured notes purchased by investors.   Investors that have suffered a loss as a result of the Odyssey Properties III bankruptcy may be entitled to a recovery through securities arbitration.

Eccleston Law represents individual and institutional investors to recover their investment losses caused by unsuitable investment recommendations, breach of fiduciary duty, negligence or other misconduct. We have extensive experience representing investors in arbitration and litigation disputes with securities broker-dealers and investment advisory firms, and have recovered tens of millions of dollars for investors.

If you are an investor that has suffered losses investing with Odyssey Properties III or in any of the related Odyssey entities, or if you have any information about this investment, please contact Jim Eccleston at the Eccleston Law Offices at 312-332-0000.
