: FinancialCounselTexas Businessman Convicted in $100 Million Life Insurance Fraud Scheme
By James Eccleston
Christian Allmendinger was recently convicted of federal securities fraud charges for his role in operating a $100 million life insurance fraud scheme that victimized over 800 investors in 37 states.
Allmendinger was a principal of A&O Resource Management, Ltd., which was allegedly in the business of selling life settlement policies, whereby the company would purchase life insurance policies for less than face value and later capture the full benefits when the insured died. A&O touted to investors that it could ?guarantee? returns of 10 to 20 percent.
Rather than use the money as promised, it is believed that Allmendinger and his associates used the investor money to support their extravagant lifestyle. Allmendinger currently faces between 22 and 27 years in prison for his role in the fraud.
Eccleston Law represents individual and institutional investors to recover their investment losses caused by securities and investment fraud. Our attorneys also help victims of Ponzi schemes pursue recovery by submitting claims with receiverships established by the SEC or by assisting victims with the filing of a Theft Loss Tax Deduction with the IRS.
If you have lost money investing with A&O Resource Management or Christian Allmendinger, you may be eligible for an immediate theft loss tax deduction. Under a new IRS safe harbor rule, you may be eligible for an immediate theft loss tax deduction of 95% of your losses, or 75% of your losses if you pursue third-party recovery. Please contact Jim Eccleston at the Eccleston Law Offices at 312-332-0000 for more details.
