Hi folks. I wanted to drop by briefly, mostly to thank Dan for inviting me back for the month. I have, I think, a lot of stuff to talk about:  my webinar and my sabbatical, the thrills of putting together my promotion packet for next year and related reflections on career trajectories, and surely some other stuff will come up (the White Sox world series hopes? too soon?).

But before I do that, I need to spend the weekend getting stuff out of the way (my horoscope today assures me that I will get a glimpse of the future and learn that I'm over extended--uh,  that's not the future, guys). So instead of a long post, I thought I'd prime the pump a bit. You remember when I was here last fall I wrote some about the webinar I was running during my sabbatical and I reflected a bit on issues relating to online education, especially for graduate and professional programs. Well here are two interesting articles from the Chronicle of Higher Education that seem relevant. One is about the issue of profits and online education; the other is about creating regional, inter-university programs.

With that, I have to go, see you next week.
