KingCast says "No Bad Blood" to Casey Sherman, but Justice isn't free. Hit the button for your favorite First Amendment Superhero!

By Christopher King

ADVERTISEMENTS
Well now that public radio is done hitting you up on their annual drive it's time for KingCast to have a fireside chat with you to recap some of last year's gems & entice you to that buy now button on the right =^.)

Perhaps you liked our coverage and analysis of the Right-to-Know litigation of Nashua Telegraph v. Nashua, where we have pictures that the Telegraph coverage lacked.

Perhaps you liked the story of the Figueroa family, a mother and her Honor Roll daughter who papered the Lawrence School system with Chris King's 1st Amendment Page materials, demanded an apology for an unreasonable suspension for "wearing a sweater" and received such apology and the suspension to be removed from the records. Another First Amendment victory.

Perhaps you enjoyed the direct interview of a firefighter actually present at the Tai Ho tragedy in Boston.

Perhaps you liked the KingCast/Crnilovic Robert Taylor draft legislation for Massachusetts Tenants Rights that would make it a crime for a landlord not to divulge the lack of code compliance if more than 30 days out. That's supported by the Gloucester Times.

Perhaps you liked our/coverage of International Artist Milan Kohout, who helped the Czech Republic in its velvet revolution without arrest, but who faced First Amendment oppression down in Boston for complaining about predatory lending with his ceremonial "nooses." Mr. Kohout and I are going to be working on a Civil Liberties Project when he returns from Europe later this month.

But most of all, maybe you liked our successful (Caledonian Record/Littleton Courier) Right-to-Know lawsuit -- promised by WMUR/Orr & Reno Attorney William Chapman in this newscast but never sought -- and our thorough coverage of the Franconia shooting tragedy that you will find nowhere else, including new one-link dossiers for the following:

1. Bruce McKay's legacy of abuse with Town knowledge.
2. The "Franconia 5/11: Injustice on Stilts" video.
3. Pending Info. requests with Bill Kenney to Speaker of the House Norelli.
4. Pending FOIA request to U.S. Attorney's office on 3-time felon and public menace Gregory W. Floyd, who stands trial for Criminal Threats on 15 April, 2008 -- the day after our respective birthdays. I'm 7 years younger and I'd like to believe more handsome and less a public menace, depending on one's perspective, of course. Some LE will vote for Floyd, some will vote for me.

Nobody's gettin' rich here, folks and unlike some other people I've never sought or obtained a book deal on the Franconia shooting tragedy. No offense to Casey Sherman who has done some great work and who is now writing, Bad Blood: Freedom and Death in the White Mountains, but for Chrissakes the story's not even over yet and Justice hasn't been conceived of, much less served. Just a guy working on getting his law license back, clerking at his friend's law firm and trying to sell a few motorcycles in a depressed economy. Show some Internet love for a brother; hit the button on the birthday.
