Milan Kohout and KingCast present: Economic stimulus checks and Nooses for Sale, again.

By Christopher King

ADVERTISEMENTS
Milan Kohout is an International peace activist and performance artist who has been instrumental in activities including the Czech Velvet Revolution prior to a Professorship (more) at Tufts University and continuing work with Mobius here in Boston.

Last fall and over the winter he was persecuted by the government for purportedly trying to sell "Nooses" in front of Bank America. In point of fact he was using the nooses as a metaphor to say that the Banking and Real Estate Industries have put Americans in a noose. The charges were dismissed only after media coverage and First Amendment Attorney Jeffrey Pyle stepped in.

Some folks even intimated that he was racist, and that the use of the nooses was somehow evil on his part. Well sports fans, I can assure you that Milan Kohout is no racist, I am welcome in Prague anytime and his whole point is that usurious lending practices like those employed by companies like Deval Patrick's Ameriquest (Boston Globe story) are destroying America. We were going to apply for a Soros grant to work on some projects until we of course realized that Soros himself is Mr. Hedge Fund personified, who makes his bloodsport money off of speculations regarding this very industry. That's yet another reason why corporate greed is good for America!

Now all of us are in an economic noose, together =^.)

Related Kick-ass editorial: Keene Sentinel on Economic Stimulus checks.

"Wal-Mart says it will cash people's economic stimulus checks for free, even if they don't buy anything. But to make sure they do, the company says it has lowered prices on select items. A press release mentions shampoo, juice and lunch meat. Yum."
