20/20 Forum Page open for comment on Franconia shooting tragedy but 20/20 edited out much of McKay's pursuit and OC Spray violations.

ADVERTISEMENTS

Andrew Paparella, you and ABC News and 20/20 are yellow journalists to the core, in your segment initially editing out the Tahoe Bash and OC Spray where Bruce McKay violated 7 pursuit and OC Spray policies designed to de-escalate situations like this. Then you cut right to NH AAG Jeffrey Strelzin as you slam State Rep. Sorg when you say, "incredibly, some people believe the officer is partially responsible for his own death....."

And then you have Juju Chang saying as a matter of fact that Liko ran McKay down when in point of fact Gregory W. Floyd's own son said that he did not do any such thing, but that his car struck McKay once, after his father started shooting.

That's not responsible journalism. I gave you so many emails with explicit information that you decided to ignore. I will now post some of those emails in the comments section.

PEOPLE FROM OR CONCERNED ABOUT NORTH COUNTRY:

Email 20/20 producers at: Andrew.Paparella@abc.com

And let them know your concerns. I would ask that you cc me or at least keep a copy of what you send him so we can keep tabs on this, and please wait until after you watch the entire show this evening. That is what I am doing before I release the emails I've sent to him over the course of time outlining salient matters that appear to have been left aside.

UPDATE: They also show Liko's bloody car in this clip, which is reprehensible. I've never shown that nor would I show things blood-stained grass where Bruce McKay died. They should have shown the windshield bullet hole in context because that proves that Floyd started shooting before he claimed to (as do McKay's spent casings -- look at the picture) but then that would raise suspicion on Kelly Ayotte so they bagged that idea. Yellow journalism, circa 2008.

The way they show the bullet hole -- without showing the bullet in the McKenzie barn noted in the "bullet hole" link above makes it appear as if Floyd really did look into Liko's car and speak with him before he started shooting, which he most certainly did not. He also lied and said Caleb's window was down and that he reached in past Caleb and all of that, which are lies made in an official investigation, another crime. Not to mention how Floyd went home with Liko's live round in his pocket somehow. Kelly Ayotte and Jeffrey Strelzin give Floyd a pass because he killed a cop killer, pure and simple.

Also, 20/20 persists in calling it murder, as did Kelly Ayotte, but let me ask you this: How many times does a murderer telephone his uncle 3 times before deciding to "murder" a threatening police officer? Yes, it is a FACT in Kelly Ayotte's own files that Liko Kenney tried 3 times from his cell phone to get his uncle on the phone, who lived about 700 feet from the tragedy so that he could have a witness to whatever crazy activity Bruce McKay was about to get into next, as he always did.

I issued a statement in their article, which is now seen in the comments section of this post and it had better stay there. [UPDATE: It did not stay. They pulled it even though it did not violate TOS].

UPDATE: They pulled another comment from me too. Anything that references this blawg in any way is pulled.

There is a reason the locals don't trust 20/20 and other major media anymore but the true and full story will be told. Just got a call from North Country last night about that, you betcha'.

For more read these three posts about ABC News and 20/20.

1. How the North Country view Bruce McKay.
2. Review of 20/20 feature.
3. What 20/20 should have covered.
4. ABC News "Officer Down" from 26 Nov. 2007 was a bogus cover up story.
5. The first ABC News story was reasonably fair and impartial.

"Liberal media" my arse. Better get to reading Ben Bagdikian's Media Monopoly, as noted herein.
