KingCast explains the silver lining in the cloud of 20/20's coverage of the Franconia shooting tragedy; NH AG Kelly Ayotte still a liar.

THE SAVING GRACES: It was good that they quoted Yours Truly about the probability that Gregory W. Floyd murdered Liko Kenney which is what anyone with a functioning brain already knows. More significant is the fact that they featured Caleb Macaulay telling the Truth about how Liko was scared as hell (hence the 3 phone calls to his uncle) as ABC News noted a year ago by way of Connie McKenzie that "People did not trust Bruce McKay.... heck I was scared of him." They also did quote Robbie Hayward as saying Liko's fear may have come from McKay bashing him with the Tahoe and OC Spraying him in the manner he did, but the show failed to connect the dots by noting that such activity may well be a Constitutional violation pursuant to cases like Brendlin v. California, 136 P. 3d 845 (2007) in addition to being clear cut violations of Seven (7) Town Policies on pursuit and OC Spray. Brendlin was authored by NH's own David Souter, by the way.

I'll be speaking with Caleb about that extensively next weekend, and on to the U.S. House we go.

********

Unfortunately they ignored the fact that Gregory W. Floyd's first comment was that he admitted he didn't say a word to Liko Kenney and that as such, NH AG Kelly Ayotte's email to former AG Harold Burbank was a lie when she said "all statements were consistent." Contrary to what Floyd would later say, and what 20/20 allowed AAG Strelzin to prattle on about, he started shooting from at least 30 feet away as McKay's spent casing show, never said a word and Caleb's window was "in the fully up position" according to her own Official Report p. 26!

She needs to be disbarred and removed from office. I'm still in touch with Attorney Burbank, on this you better believe.

Unfortunately they also failed to mention much of Gregory W. Floyd's criminal past or his admitted violations of 18 U.S.C. 922(g)(1) or his lies about serving in Vietnam that made him more credible on the scene or his claims of killing 43 people, which NH AG Kelly Ayotte and Senior AAG Jeffrey Strelzin failed to investigate, just didn't give a damn because Floyd killed a cop-killer. I'm not going to bother to re-link all of that because it's in this blawg and thoroughly documented already.

For the seminal KingCast post on the 20/20 Franconia coverage with links to everything look here.

Related Editorial: Union Leader says NH AG Kelly Ayotte coddles killers. That will leave it up to the townspeople to approach the ATF with me about getting Floyd Indicted under 18 U.S.C. 922(g)(1) because despite all of this below he still had a gun in his home that he stated was under his dominion and control when he threatened to shoot his neighbor, Alma Jean Boisvert. Accord U.S. v. Ruckman, D.C. No. 02-CR-05-S (E.D. Oklahoma) 2003. KingCast and the Franconia Collective: We know the law and our friends know common sense. Read the comments for more.
