Insurers resist asbestos compensation decision

The insurance industry will this week warn that a bill which would allow asbestos workers in Scotland who have not yet fallen ill as a result of contact with the substance to sue for damages, could cost defendants as much as £600m — 100 times more than the government’s own estimate.
