Does anybody know if this affiliate protection will work?

"CPA Watchdog? is announcing the launch of their new site, which will feature a revolutionary new suite of affiliate verification services for the CPA (cost per action) affiliate advertising industry.

Advertisers can now have their affiliate networks and affiliates verified before creating partnerships.

Affiliate Networks who publish the ads can facilitate the verification of their affiliate members to help create a competitively fraud-free affiliate marketplace for their advertisers.

Individual affiliates will thereby stand to gain credibility with their networks and with advertisers by gaining the Verified Affiliate? status."

I didn't realize that the Affiliate space had no trade association, a point very well made in this video over at Shoemoney at Affiliate Crossfire Panel he was on at the CPA Empire Media.

I would be wary of a commericial product that didn't have the back of a trade association, but perhaps that is because I am an attorney.

Can anyone explain why this group doesn't have a Trade Association?
