DonorsChoose Challenge

Okay folks, get out your checkbooks. Last year the other ScienceBloggers participated in the DonorsChoose program in October. DonorsChoose is a wonderful project that allows teachers to submit requests for financial contributions that will help them touch their students' lives. With state and local budgets in such bad shape, many classrooms go without even basic materials like pens and paper. Others need big things, like computers or lab equipment.

I've created a giving page for this blog, picking out a few of the projects that really appealed to me for various reasons. I'm asking my readers to help out with one or more of these projects. If you don't feel motivated about any of those, do a search and pick out one that really moves you. There are so many needs that you'll never run out of worthwhile projects.
