: Legally Blonde AmbitionA Monday Morning Reader's Poll
By "Daisy Duke"
ADVERTISEMENTS
Here we are again. Monday morning. So much has happened since last Monday - I found out I passed the bar, my new job was solidified, and BISMOW bought me flowers- so I'm feeling introspective. Pondering. Musing the great mysteries of the world. But in the meantime, lets get to what really matters. Traveling, in two parts: A. How old were you when you got your first passport?
B. If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would you go & why?
As for me, I got my first passport when I was about 2.5 years old. I was apparently less than thrilled about having my photo taken, so my little mug shot was that of a kid with curly blonde hair sticking out every which way, positively scowling at the camera. And then I had to live with that picture for the next 10 years of my life. Genius Duke, genius. My parents thought it was so funny they had extra copies made to put in my baby album. Ooh, here it is, the only photo of Daisy you will ever get to see:
Did I mention only half of my hair was curly as a kid? It was pathetic. My Mom just sort of pinned it back, straightened my bangs & hoped for the best.
And for that vacation...well there are a lot of places I dream of going (and dang it, I will make it!) such as Asia, Africa, Hawaii (yup, never been there!) and a lovely trip to Nantucket. There are many places I have been- England, Germany, France, Switzerland, Italy, Finland, Estonia, Denmark, Holland, Luxembourg, Austria, Australia, and New Zealand to name a few. But my dream trip? Give me a week in Thaiti, complete with an over-water bungalow and a snorkel & flippers. Oh and a bed with 1000 thread count sheets. That, dear readers, is my dream vacation.
Oh! And I'm extending the deadline to get Soon I Will Be Invincible reviews in (mostly because I haven't gotten any, cough cough) to Thursday. That would be this Thursday, October 9th. So finish reading, start reviewing & don't forget to pick up a copy of A Strange Piece of Paradise.
