Monday Mid-Morning Reader's Poll

By "Daisy Duke"

ADVERTISEMENTS
There is nothing like a Monday morning to slap you back to reality. I'm having a bit of a lousy one, with a lot of gritting my teeth & reminding myself that as of 5 pm on Thursday, I'm blowing this joint and never looking back. Oh how I would love to turn on my heel & walk out today, but alas, that seems "unprofessional" and "immature."

So my question today is rather simple:

How do you like to unwind after a long, unpleasant day, be it work/school/life/whatever?

Are you someone who makes plans to meet your friends a local watering hole? Dances till 3 am at some hip establishment known for shiny shirts & black leggings? Do you go home and order pad thai and refuse to get off the couch? Do you take a long run and crank your iPod all the way up to forget about it all? Or cook yourself a gourmet meal worthy of four star dining & lick the plate when it is done? Perhaps you open a bottle of wine and imbibe in a liquid dinner....... the world is yours. So what exactly do you do to ensure that perhaps the next morning is looking a little brighter?

Oh yeah. And what is the most polite way to look to tell someone to screw off? Specifically an attorney who outranks you in every way possible & is trying to use your last week in the office to mop the floor with the remaining shreds of your dignity?
