Heather, writing at franchise-chat, asks the all important question for franchise prospectives.

"Has anyone had issues with getting necessary financial info when looking into different franchises?

One example was Subway.

Someone just called me from there after I submitted a request.

She stated they do not offer Item 19 disclosures or any information on average store profits.

How is a person to pick a franchise without being able to compare such basic knowledge?

I KNOW Subway HAS this information at their fingertips and they just refuse to share it which is bizarre. Why is it all so hidden? They expect me to drop $250K without knowing details?

They expect ME to make phone calls to current owners that may or may not give me the info I want?"

Heather is correct. Subway like all franchisors collects a great deal of financial information from their franchisees.

We need more prospects like Heather who say: No financial history: No Sale."
