All of us know how much San'Egidio has done for the abolition movement and so I was really happy to read that Andrea Riccardi will receive this award.The Karlspreis (or Charlemagne Award in English) is one of the most prestigious European Awards. The sponsors of the award promote that the Charlemagne Prize is not only an expression of gratitude for lasting services for the unity of Europe, but also an encouragement and an expression of hopes and expectations directed towards the future.
