Stone Street Capital Where Blue is Really "Brown" on Structured Settlements?

By John Darer

ADVERTISEMENTS

Stone Street Capital has announced a structured settlement resource with a putative intent to clear up misconceptions about structured settlement factoring.

The resource includes copies of the structured settlement protection act for each state that has one.

The resource also states that factoring applies to only 5% of all structured settlements and makes a number of good points, but then come the inevitable  Stone Street Capital bloopers:

Refers to the excise TAX imposed under IRC 5891 as "a penalty", when in fact THE TAX is imposed per IRC 5891(a) and the rest of the "rigamarole" in IRC 5891(b) et seq. has to do with exceptions to THE TAX. It says tax in the tax code! It's a frickin' excise tax, call it what it is!

Last night someone burst my bubble on Southern Red Velvet Cake. Southern Red Velvet Cake is just chocolate cake with 2 tablespoons of red food coloring. Whatever Stone Street Capital does in terms of window dressing, that goofy blue cow is simply lying to consumers by saying "cash now from the cash cow". Unless Stone Street Capital has portable judges to approve structured settlement factoring transactions this is simply not true.

The Stone Street Capital Blue Cow seems to be just a "Brown" Cow With Pungent Blue Food Coloring

  Cow Patty

The factoring industry leadership could do themselves a great service by eliminating the cow patties. Is the romance of your offering "tell me no secrets, tell me some lies, give me no reasons, give me alibis"?
