I'd like to read really good books about the Kennedy assassination and the Vietnam War, and since I always get good recommendations from my readers I'm asking again. The ideal book for each probably doesn't exist, but would be: authoritative and have all the basics, enjoyable and not 900 pages long in tiny type, and reliable and not massively biased in favor of one conspiracy theory or political take. Ideas? For JFK I've read that Crossfire by Marrs and Not in Your Lifetime by Summers are classics. Thanks for any suggestions.
