: New York Supreme Court Criminal Term LibraryNew York Defender Digest
By David Badertscher, PLL
We received a letter with a followup telephone conversation recently telling us that:
"Regrettably, a decision has been made to discontinue publication of the New York Defender Digest Newsletter, effective with the last issue of this year December 26, 2008. Our determination to cease publication is the result of the inability to obtain new subscribers, particulaarly younger lawyers, coupled withthe declining number of jury trials and related hearings.
However, we have placed our previous paper motion forms were included in the subscription on a CD-Rom disc, including numerous updates and several new forms. The disc, in editable form, will facilitate easy usage. The cost is $235, whereas the newsletter was $395.
Since many lawyers, at least those frequenting this location, have told us they found the newsletter a very useful vehicle to help keep current regarding defense issues in the State of New York, we have decided to post this information here as a service to those readers who are interested.
