Miscellaneous

Christmas 2008

Memorable because:

• Peach has a 15 second tolerance for gift opening. 
• After gifts are opened, she wants to put them back in their packaging. 
• Watched Peach "mother" her baby doll.  (Which apparently includes making sure the doll is naked, and screaming whenever I tried to put clothes on it.  OK, OK, it's your doll!) 
• Was shocked when I realized that Peach's preemie sleeper fit the small doll pretty well.  (At least until Peach pulled the sleeper off.) She was so teeny!
• Discovered my husband's deep and abiding fear of dolls.  Priceless.
• The baby was up at 2.  Matthew took the 2-5 shift, then I took over.  The baby took no naps. 
• Made up my mind at 1 pm that I was NOT cooking dinner.  Period. 
• After bathing Peach and before she was in a diaper, I tried to put lotion on her.  She barfed up a bit of food and then peed on my leg. 
• She thought this was hilarious. 
• I did not. 
• Days of migraines culminated in the great grandmother of all migraines, including amazing dizziness.   (I tried to take a nap to sleep the effects off, but did I mention the baby took no naps?) 
• The TiVo/Satellite receiver is kaput.  We haven't watched it in months, but it couldn't handle 20 minutes of A Christmas Story?

Postscript: As an aside to the commenters who left comments on the previous posts, but whose comments do not show up: I don't know what happened!  I received emails that you'd commented, but the comments never appeared on the site.
