Laid back, with my mind on my money and my money on my mind...

My estate & gift tax final yesterday was GOD AWFUL. Seriously. I have never taken such an exam. The curve on that one is going to be massive, because our whole class was shell-shocked when we left.

But then last night was the end of the year party, and we made up for it by drinking lots and lots. And lots. And lots. Poor Curt had to drive a carful of drunk law students home in the snow at 12:30 am. He is such a nice person.

Things I did not post about because I was stuck in the throes of finals hell:

1. I passed the MPRE. Second time's the charm! I am so ethical.

2. I received an offer of employment from an attorney that used to work at the firm I worked at this summer. She is currently doing litigation-heavy bankruptcy work - mostly suits under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and RESPA. It is interesting stuff, and I like the area of law. I need to find out some more about her before I officially accept it, because I worry about working with a batshit crazy person. Seems cool though and I am leaning towards taking it.

3. We are dead broke from fixing the heater and a couple of torn shingles on the roof. If you are expecting something for christmas this year, it will probably be a rock stolen from the neighbor's landscaping. Ho ho ho.
