Charles Rangel: Taxman Extraordinaire

Over at the Volokh Conspiracy, Todd Zywicki has posted a link to this video by documentary film maker Evan Coyne Maloney, who may be the antidote to Michael Moore. Representative Rangel is, of course, chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, from which originates all tax legislation.  Somewhat like Timothy Geithner, Congressman Rangel has difficulties paying his fair share of taxes.  Check it out, then contemplate the following lyrics from the Beatles' "Taxman:"

If you drive a car,
I'll tax the street.
If you drive to city,
I'll tax your seat.
If you get too cold,
I'll tax the heat.
If you take a walk,
I'll tax your feet.
