Mental post-it notes and inanimate things

As I ran my bath last night, I thought about my long toenails and that they really, really did need clipping because they are curling under. So, I placed my pair of nail clippers on top of my pile of clean clothes to remind me to use them when I got out of the bath.

As I was wallowing in the bath, I unintentionally stroked my chin like Desparate Dan used to do when he was thinking. I needed a shave. I rolled over and reached for the razor off the sink and placed it on a corner of the bath to remind me to use it when I got out.

When I got out of the bath, this time only being in there for 40 minutes, I have a tendency to fall asleep in there, I dried my self off with a bath towel. Then when I bent over to put a leg into my briefs, I clenched my buttocks. I don't know why I did that, perhaps it is memories of prison and the joke about not bending down in the shower to pick up a bar of soap? In any event, I was sorely reminded of my piles and reached for my tube of Canesten.

After I had clipped my nails and shaved, I went back on my computer and posted the post below which I will come back to and add some more articles. I also placed some materials on top of the computer screen, to remind me that they needed my attention, a sort of in-tray.

I went to bed at 2am, however, sleep would not come for at least another 2 hours. This morning I got up at about 10.30. At least I had approximately 6 hours sleep. Not enough, but it will have to do for now. As I went into the front room to open the curtains and switch off the night security light out the front, I saw the television and remembered that I had missed the Andrew Marr show at 9am. I am confident that he did not miss me.

Just time for another fag, before I take Rocky out for a walk and then get my breakfast on the go.
