Twitter Primer

Still wondering how to get on to the Twitter playing field? It's getting pretty crowded. When the characters in Doonesbury are tweeting all this week and far too many CNN 'reporters' are watching their tweets on air, it might be too crowded. Lordy knows the #sxsw hastag was a little too popular this week!

Anyway, here's a primer:

I am following a bunch of libraries and they're being nicely creative. The crowd coming home from ACRL in Seattle were having a nice conversation at the SeaTac too. I wonder if I'll ever be able to find a friend at the airport easily using Geotagging in Twitter...? Maybe it's already done for the iPhone ...

I see all sorts of audience comments on keynotes at conferences in real time. That would be pretty distracting as a speaker. Especially when the comment on baldness, clothing and Obama ears. It was distracting enough when it was just IM.
