Dad-

It was good seeing you, even if you didn't look so great.

Between your mumbling and the twitching thing, I couldn't make out too much, but I hope you enjoy the TP that I left with you.

Don't worry, I left plenty of tips, and told everyone to the scroll to the right and leave a tip here on the blog. Nino at The Palm gave me a handful of coupons to pass around, so I'm thinking that everyone will keep treating you OK. Your blog visitors can click on the image and have a discount too.

Between our visit in the morning, and the family "gathering" afterward, where everyone ended up screaming; in your words, "trust me" when I say that my day was a real bitch.

Speaking of real butches, I got a message this morning from Marcia C. and she wants to know whether she's supposed to wire money from Cohmad to Louis Licari for Mom's latest visits.

I'd ask Mom directly, but after the shouting last night, I'm not sure she's picking up the phone. I think she decided to head to PB for the Homestead luncheon with Marion, and I'd tell Enrica to write a check and just leave Marica out of it, but she's a control freak, and I don't need any more aggravation than I've already got.

I also got an email message from Yefim. He wound up at Barclays, and he says "they love the statement system", and wants to know if its OK to use the the software that he made for you. What the f--k is he talking about?? I'm not emailing him back until Adam L. tells me that the laptop is secure.

Dickstein is working on a response re: the bonuses. The $5 million sent to Mom right after your anniversary won't be treated as a bonus. It'll be treated as a"retention fee", and they think Picard or Litt would be idiots to try and claw that back. Everyone is busy focused on AIG's bonuses, at least that's what the PR people at Marston are saying. They say that the explanation for the transfer of $10 mil on Dec 10 is easier; Mom paid for the Christmas party, and Sonny C. has already signed an affidavit saying that it was a really great event and worth every penny.

Marston was your call, like all of the others, so I'm just passing the message.

Frank D. isn't taking my calls either. He was your "boy", so I'm not going to comment, especially if you insist on posting to the stupid blog.

BTW- the idea about the tax shelters and the tax loss carry forwards is a good one. At least that's what I'm hearing. STA is talking about it at the thing out in California, so I'm sure that it'll get support from the right people.

Keep your spirits up. Ira will get you out soon. He knows where his bread is buttered.

Mark
