: Legal Pad | LAPlaintiffs object to amended complaint in Thelen case
By Richard Binder
Two former Thelen employees who have sued their former employer in San Francisco Superior Court for unpaid wages and vacation time are objecting to a stipulation in a separate case in federal court that allows an amended complaint to be filed on behalf of a class of the defunct firm's former California employees.
On March 10, Thelen filed the stipulation with plaintiffs in the federal case, who are adding violations of the California WARN (Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification) Act, among other things, to their complaint. On Thursday, Todd Bennett and Matthew Troup, former employees at Thelen, and lead plaintiffs in the San Francisco case, filed an objection to that stipulation.
A case management conference is scheduled for March 24.
