Twitter/Facebook Tool Recommendations

If any of you are using Twitter or Facebook, a couple tools I recommend: OutTwit - Microsoft Outlook plugin that lets you post to Twitter from Outlook. Also lets you pull in some/all/none of the tweets of the people you follow into an Outlook folder (I use it to pull in tweets from few close friends (and key words) that I do not want to miss anything what they say…it is a great filter, making Twitter a tool, not a “firehose of irrelevant information”) Tweetdeck (beta). Tweetdeck is a stand alone application/interface for Twitter that lets you set up groups, filter, etc. What is IMPORTANT about the current beta (0.24) is that it will create a column for pulling in the status of your Facebook friends too. This is HUGE! No more having to visit Facebook and get bombarded with stupid time-wasting junk…you can use Tweetdeck (even if you don’t use Twitter) to ONLY see Facebook status updates (and post replies and changes to your own status)...continue to full post
