National Institute of Health awards research grant to leading head injury researcher at the University of Kansas. KC Business Journal.

Randolph Nudo, a brain-injury researcher at the University of Kansas Medical Center, has received a seven-year grant extension worth at least $4 million.The extension was granted in lieu of a five-year extension that Nudo had requested because his research has been awarded a Javits Investigator Award from the National Institutes of Health. Nudo was the first to provide direct evidence that physical therapy can be used to change the brain, the release said. He has been involved in neurological sciences for 30 years and has received grant financing from the NIH since 1990
