Burger King stops using wrap with Fluorescent Whitening Agent (FWA)

Consumer groups found a whitening agent in the Burger King wrap used for wrapping food products.

In an allusion to last year's poisoned milk scandal, the report also highlighted the fact that FCW contained traces of melamine, the chemical found in last year's tainted milk.

As a result of the report, released yesterday, FamilyMart and Burger King both immediately stopped using the packaging in question, the United Daily Evening News said.
