By Howard M. Friedman
ADVERTISEMENTS
University of Maryland's Student Senate voted 32-14 to remove prayer from the University commencement ceremony. WJLA News reported yesterday that the vote on Monday culminated three years of debate on the issue. The invocation was presented each year by one of the University's 14 chaplains, and was designed to be inclusive.
