THE HEEL OF THE FASCIST BOOT

The Loureiro saga is rapidly winding down to its foregone conclusions.  It's hard to imagine anyone being surprised at the outcome.  It's also unfair to think it would have been handled any differently in other jurisdictions across the country.  This is what politicians do when other politicians are involved.  It's the way of the world.Still, we can't help but wonder how these same individuals can then turn around and enforce the stiffest, most irrational penalties on poor people.  To actively and deliberately create one standard of treatment for the rich, powerful, and elected, while holding the sickest and most vulnerable members of our society to the most impossible standards.  Broward is famous for its corruption, and equally famous for imprisoning non-violent minorities...continue to full post
