Obama will announce his nomination of Sonia Sotomayor, age 54, to replace David Souter. She is a federal judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Sotomayor was born in the Bronx, New York, to Puerto Rican parents. Princeton undergrad & Yale Law School graduating in 1979; after five years as an ADA in New York, she moved on to private practice for seven years.
