Good Will Branding

I realize that its been some time since we had dinner, but I wanted to let you know that you're not missing a thing out here in E.Hampton.

The weather has been for shit for the last week; the only good part is that none of those media people have been snooping around, and I'm finally getting a chance to relax and connect with friends.

I've also been thinking about how we can all make it past this thing, and after speaking with Mark, he thinks my idea is 1000x better than Andy's crazy idea to create a "Bernie's Brazilians" leg waxing franchise.

Since you floated the notes for our energy company and for the bait company--or fishing rods, or whatever it is, I know you're going to love this idea. Think"branding", "affordable luxury antiques"-or "Tiffany Thrifty"-or better still, think "marketing to recessionistas,"

OK..the hint is: what have you and I always loved to do together?

Shop!

And, where do people that have had to 'downsize' shop when their Neiman account gets cancelled? High-end consignment shops... The same places that my Grandmother would donate her gowns to!

And think about the supply of inventory we can create--we can use Picard's mailing list! There are hundreds of women on that list with closets full of clothes they'd love to sell on consignment. And this the opportunity to leverage a brand name in the very worst of economic times.

And, if anyone knows how to "adjust", its you...(If you haven't figured it out how to do it by now, its actually very trendy!)

Our BP (business plan) was actually inspired by a great blog posting that I found (see below), and since you're the only with a stack of cash right now, and since you need a place to put it before any thing else happens, I thought this would be a great way for us to bond. And its safer than the bond that Uncle Bernie put up!
