U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th and 10th Circuit Go Live on CM/ECF
So far they just have the "CM" in place, with the "ECF" still under development. The following are notices posted on each of these court's websites:
  • The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel for the Sixth Circuit have begun using the Federal Judiciary's Case Management-Electronic Case Files computer system know as CM-ECF. As of August 20, 2007, any new docket entry referring to a document initiated by the Court of Appeals or the BAP will be attached to that entry and available from PACER. Neither court has yet put into place that part of CM-ECF which allows parties to file documents electronically and therefore those fillings will not appear on the docket in PACER. This feature will be available in the future, and periodically checking this website will keep you advised.
  • A new case management system is coming to the Tenth Circuit. Beginning September 4, 2007, all counsel will be required to submit materials to the court in accord with the new General Order attached below. Pro se parties have the option of e-submitting, but if they do so they must also follow the requirements of the new General Order. This is not attorney internet filing, but the requirements have changed. Interested parties should read the new Order, which replaces the Order issued initially in October of 2004 and updated last in January of 2006.
