A 32-year-old cyclist from San Diego was hospitalized with major head injuries on June 29 after having crashed into a parked vehicle while he was riding his bicycle, San Diego police authorities have reported.
The man had not been wearing a helmet, and crashed around the 3200 block of J Street in downtown San Diego around 2:20 p.m. on Sunday. It is believed that excessive speed had prevented him from making a safe turn onto 33rd Street, according to San Diego police Sgt. Ramona Hastings.
