I got my new phone last week, and activated mobile posting. Hopefully I will post more often - I get stuck in this rut where I feel like I have to post something epic and meaningful since I haven't posted in so long. But then I don't have time, or I have nothing that feels sufficiently deep to post about, and I put it off again (I am a lawyer, procrastination is second nature).

Anyway. Hopefully, more posts to come. For my single reader, since I'm sure no one is checking anymore...

Work is going well. Things are slightly calmer and I feel like I am finally getting something done.

I'm trying to keep perspective on things - I think I have a tendency to overreact to bad things happening. So getting one shitty grade becomes "OMG I have made horrible life choices and am going to be miserable forever OH NOES!" I need to cut myself some slack - everyone has bad days and everyone as days when nothing goes right. But as a whole my life is pretty damn good so I need to stop the drama queen shit.

Today, I cut a bunch of the chard and spinach from the garden and sauteed it - will be delicious in risotto and soup this winter when the garden is only a faint memory.

The tomatoes are coming in - a few of the cherry tomatoes are ripe and one of the purple Cherokees is starting to color, but everything else is green green green. I can't wait for them to be ripe - then it's tomato sauce time! Last year the tomato plants were severly damaged in a crazy storm on June 27th - the plants never really recovered their blooms and we didn't get much yield. I'm so tired of the jarred sauces - the cheap ones taste like ketchup to me now, so we have been buying the ridonkulously expensive organic tomato basil la la la sauce to hold us over from last year's crappy tomato harvest. Fingers crossed for a good tomato year.
