   On the warpath: Satz vents after recent rash of bad publicityViolent crime down, property crime up - Click here for the Sentinel's reporting on the most recent FBI crime stats.  After spiking during the first half of the year, violent crime ended up dropping in Broward, as it did in neighboring counties (Broward was the only place violent crime went up during the first half of 2008).  Property crime, however, rose 4.32 percent here, jumping for the fourth time in five years.  Property crimes decreased in Miami-Dade, and in most parts of Palm Beach.  A very significant number, seeing as how the folks at the SAO love to hammer non-violent drug offenders mercilessly, while blaming them for every crime ever committed...continue to full post
