RODRIGUEZ v. SOKOLOFF

Attorney Rhoda Sokoloff, admitted to the Florida Bar in 2000, is running against Circuit Court Judge Carlos Rodriguez.  She submitted her paperwork yesterday. Sokoloff had previously filed for an open Circuit seat against Rob Jakovich.  That seat is no longer available, due to the retirement of Judge Vitale.  So who is Rhoda Sokoloff?  No one knows for sure, considering her inexperience.  Judge Rodriguez, of course, has been kicking around for the last thirty years.  All that's really known is that Sokoloff was proudly on display during Mike Satz's annual Up the River Cruise  last July.  The bad blood between the SAO and Rodriguez is well documented, since Rodriguez has brought a modern perspective to Broward since taking over for Judge Stanton Kaplan...continue to full post
