: Des Moines Personal Injury LawyerWho's buttering the U.S. Chamber's Bread?
By Steve Lombardi
Melamine is back in the news. This time the Chinese state-run media are saying that once again they've uncovered melamine in milk products. It was found in 2008 and a crack down ensued after hundreds of thousands of children developed some form of kidney failure; but that didn't stop Chinese businesses from once again sneaking it into the supply of baby's milk.
Wall Street Journal, More Tainted-Milk Cases are Highlighted in China, James T. Areddy
There is a larger question to be answered which no one in the media seems to be asking.
Why isn't the U.S. Chamber of Commerce saying anything about this recent discovery of melamine in milk?
Does the U.S. Chamber of Commerce receive funding from the Chinese Communist Party, the entity in control of businesses in China?
What is the position of the Chamber regarding product safety in China?
In fairness to the Chamber I went to their site to see what they had to say about product safety from out of China. A search of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce site for 'melamine' produces this result.
Sorry, no results were found for your search: "Melamine".
A search of the U.S. China Chamber of Commerce for 'melamine' returns this result. Oops, I could find no place on the site to do a search; isn't that interesting.
Whose interests does the Chamber represent? Are those interests aligned with those of Americans or those of the Chinese Communist Party? Simply stated, who is buttering their bread?
In a later post I'll give you my interpretation of what his guy is saying.
