School Bus Carrying 36 Students Crashes into House in Lebanon County

Police are investigating how a school bus carrying 36 students hit another vehicle and then careened into a house Monday morning in South Lebanon Township.

WGAL.com reports that school bus driver Connie Boltz, 65, hit a Jeep operated by Michael Hansel, 52, stopped at a stop sign while turning the bus from State Drive onto Horst Avenue. The bus then careened into a house, causing extensive damage. Hansel was not injured.

The owner of the home, Dorothea Long, 87, had been sitting in her living room when the bus crashed through the wall. She was unharmed.

Thirty-three children on the bus attend Cedar Crest High School and three attend new Covenant Christian School. Luckily, all were uninjured.

Boltz suffered minor injuries.
