Society of Settlement Planners: Cluckers or Gobblers on Transparency?

By John Darer

ADVERTISEMENTS

It has been over 3 weeks since the conclusion of the Society of Settlement Planners annual meeting.

Despite its cry for transparency, is it a contradiction in terms in that the SSP has made no public mention about its naming of a factoring company representative to its Board of Directors?. Are these people proud of their move or not? Are they mavericks who want to lead a new beginning or a bunch of turkeys? Pedantic Pat Hindert has dedicated 9 blog posts to coverage of the two trade association meetings with not a word dedicated to the BIG news. What does he have to hide? Is it possible Hindert thinks it's a bad move but can't admit it?

To keep these folks feet to the fire Structured Settlements 4Real will measure the time elapsed from the conclusion of the Society of Settlement Planners annual meeting on May 4, 2010 until the society comes clean publicly about its appointment of a factoring company representative to its Board of Directors (and its rationale for doing so).

SSP Days Of Avoiding The Topic

So is the SSP chicken, or would they fit nicely into this famous Norman Rockwell painting?

Norman_Rockwell_Thanksgiving_ I'll leave that to you readers. Cast your vote now by entering comments. Mail in votes welcome.
