Tuesday's Three Burning Legal Questions

By Bruce Carton

ADVERTISEMENTS
Here are today's three burning legal questions, along with the answers provided by the blogosphere. 1) Question: My mom says I'm "wasting six hours a day in Internet chatrooms." I say I'm "helping Interpol catch fugitives." Who is right? Answer: You are right. Thank you for your service. (The Age, Interpol asks Web surfers to help catch fugitives) 2) Question: I work in a document storage warehouse. I just stumbled upon $64,000 worth of five dollar "gift checks" from Kentucky Fried Chicken that can be converted to cash at any KFC. Are you thinking what I'm thinking? Answer: I hope not. Leave the gift checks in the warehouse, Beavis, or you may face charges for "theft by unlawful taking." (WHAS11, KFC Coupon Caper: Man allegedly steals thousands of $5 gift checks) (via Consumerist) 3) Question: We don't have the cash to fund our company's pension plan. Can we just fund it with two million gallons ($645 million worth) of whiskey? Answer: No problem! (The New York Times, Diageo Uses Scotch to Plug Gap in Pension Plan)
