By Richard Binder
Many civil cases filings in Southern California courts involve some
Korean element, whether Korean parties, Korean legal issues or business
customs. To that end, ADR Services, Inc., announces the formation of its
Korean Specialty Panel.
Two prominent figures in Korean law in Southern California, Ryul Kim,
Esq. and
Hon. Ju
Myung Hwang, join ADR Services, Inc. panelists Hon. Harkjoon Paik, Hon.
Richard Lyman,
Hon. Michael D. Marcus, and Hon. Alexander H. Williams III in forming
this panel. Mr. Kim
and Judge Hwang are both members of the firm Kim & Kim and Executive
Co-Chairs for the
"Korea Law Center" at UC Irvine School of Law.
Ryul Kim, Esq. has specialized in US-Korea legal matters since 1984. He has served as mediator, counsel, consultant and expert witness for Korean and Korea-related disputes valued from a few thousand dollars to 9 figures.
Judge Ju Myung Hwang served on the Korean District and Appellate Courts and as Assistant Research Judge on the Supreme Court of Korea, and was responsible for launching the Alternative Dispute Resolution program for the Seoul District Court.
