: Legal Pad | LAGallo, accused of killing Adenhart, will be tried in Orange County
By Richard Binder
Orange County Superior Court Judge Richard Toohey has denied a motion to move the trial of a driver accused of killing Angels pitcher Nick Adenhart and two of his friends. Toohey rejected the argument that defendant Andrew Thomas Gallo can't get a fair trial in Orange County, in spite of the publicity surrounding the ballplayer's death.
The judge did leave open the possibility of hearing the motion again if, during jury selection, there is difficulty seating a jury.
Gallo is charged with three counts of murder, driving under the influence, hit-and-run and driving with a suspended license.
