From the Brilliant Mind of a Paralegal Comes the Law Firm Nap Room

All right, so maybe The Palm Beach Post literally said in its article, "Companies can help workers deal with stress," that "the latest innovation - brainchild of [Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs] paralegal and health-committee member Linda Wald - might prove to be most popular: a meditation room."

But the actual description reads as follows:

Replete with soft lighting, aromatherapy, a serenity fountain - and a strict no-cellphones-allowed policy - the meditation room provides a secluded, tranquil area for employees to spend 15 minutes alone relaxing, cat-napping, contemplating and recharging.

See, nap room. Way to get on the health commitee, Linda.

BDB also offers its employees chair-massage days, yoga classes and a breakfast spread on Fridays, but before you start plotting your move to Boca Raton, Florida, they also have "no-complaint Mondays" and regular lunchtime seminars on nutrition.

Since I usually start Mondays with a little constructive kvetching and a box of assorted Dunkin Donut holes, that could potentially throw me off my sugar-fueled game for the rest of the week.
