: Ross-Blakley Law Library BlogClient Counseling Finals Results!
By Leslie A. Pardo
Thanks again to all who participated in the 2010 Client Counseling Competition. After last night?s Finals, we have our top four finishers for this year?s competition:
- Gayathiri Shanmuganatha (1)
- Andrew High (2)
- Selina Baschiera (3)
- Kevin Blood (4)
On behalf of the Executive Moot Court Board, please join me in congratulating these competitors as well as the other students who advanced out of the preliminary rounds into last night?s Finals:
Allison Preston
Emily Wolkowicz
John Gaylord
Roger Klingler
Jon Schultz
Chase Meister
Nicolette Kratochvil
Amanda Grinstead
Daryl Gonzalez
Neal Hawkins
Dan White
Additionally, thanks to all the students who volunteered as judges and timers; without their help, this competition would not have been possible. Our next competition will be the Jenckes Closing Argument Competition. Whereas Client Counseling focused on interviewing skills, the Jenckes Competition focuses on courtroom advocacy. Students will prepare a ten-minute closing argument for a jury. The top two ASU finalists then go on to compete against U of A to (hopefully) retain the coveted Jenckes Cup.
Jenckes will run October 25th, 26th, and Finals will be October 28th. We hope to see everyone there!
