First trial in new SBPS offices in Marshall

ADVERTISEMENTS
I am way behind looking at recent ED cases after spending a week in trial before Judge Everingham here in Marshall (jury is still out) and will have to catch up next week. But it's our first trial since moving to our new offices in the renovated historic Hub building on Austin street across the square from the courthouse, which also accommodated a large trial team from our cocounsel's New York offices on the trial space side. Thanks to Central Perks for catering a week of outstanding lunches and dinners - we always had a good meal to look forward to.
We are still a work in progress, with more furniture coming in next week, one awning to go, and some additional carpentry (shelving for binders in the trial space) to come, but the new space worked great during its first trial. We'll have floor plans and rental information up soon for firms interested in trial and hearing space close to the courthouse, but right now we have more important things to worry about - like where to put the frou-frou coffee maker, how to work the Internet apps on the cool new conference room monitors, and how many more floor outlets does this place really need? (tentative answer is two).
Also trying out a white noise system we installed to accommodate my somewhat unique ceiling-less office, and I'll post on it as soon as I can figure out if it is working or not.
