By Howard M. Friedman
ADVERTISEMENTS
In Oklahoma yesterday, voters approved State Question No. 755, amending the Oklahoma constitution to bar state courts from considering or using international law or Shariah law when deciding cases. With all precincts reporting, 70% of voters cast ballots in favor of the measure. (Unofficial results.) According to AP, the sponsor of the measure, Rex Duncan, called it a "pre-emptive strike." Some members of the Muslim community say they are prepared to file a lawsuit challenging the measure.Full post as published by Religion Clause on November 03, 2010 (boomark / email).
