Eccleston Law Offices Offers New Fixed Fee Breakaway Broker / Transition Services Program for Brewer Financial Reps (And All Others)

By James Eccleston

ADVERTISEMENTS

Newly formed Eccleston Law Offices, PC (formerly the entire securities practice group at SNSFE along with Carol Grimes, Office Administrator) are alerting reps and advisers at Chicago-based, now defunct, Brewer Financial (as well as all other firms) that they are offering their transition services to reps and advisers at a discounted fixed fee rate of $2,500.

Headhunters across the country work with James Eccleston and his team to successfully move brokers and advisers to new firms, be they wirehouses, independent broker-dealers or investment advisory firms. To date, that's been done on an hourly rate of $500 per hour. Says James Eccleston, "We've declared war on the billable hour. For many matters, such as transition work for breakaway brokers, it doesn't offer the kind of 'win-win' arrangement that works for both our clients and the firm."

In 2009, 23,000 advisers changed firms. Says Eccleston, "How many of them retained a lawyer? Most of them did not, and that's a huge mistake." Eccleston says that his team will: plan all aspects of a successful transition; be "on call" for difficulties that often arise; and determine rights and responsibilities under the current employment agreement and the Protocol industry agreement as to customer solicitation, non-competition and document retention, all as part of that fixed fee.

"It's a no-brainer, and since we have announced the fixed fee, the response has been overwhelmingly positive. Call us at 312-332-0000; you will be delighted that you did", says Eccleston.
