This time it's via an Executive Order from Governor Donald Carcieri. The order mandates that all new state employees be checked in E-Verify and that all business contracting with the state (as well as their subcontractors) use E-Verify. The order also mandates that the Rhode Island State Police enter in to a 287(g) agreement with Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
