Loan Modifications and Bankruptcy: Why I Hate Loan Modifications Almost as Much as Reaffirmations.

So I'm looking through the mail, like you do when you're a bankruptcy lawyer in Arizona.

And I say see an important looking envelope from a giant bank, and the letter says that they have approved one of my clients for a trial loan modification of some sort or another.

So I say, how nice.

Then I read it a little more closely.

And it says, the first payment on this trial loan modification must be made on or before 1/1/2011!

You see the date on this post? It's not 1/1/2011, is it?

You see why I hate loan modifications?
