Feb 5th ? Save our libraries day of action
A day of action on the 5th February
That’s this Saturday!
CILIP is supporting Save Our Libraries Day, a day of action to bring greater attention to the cuts and closures facing many public libraries.
Save Our Libraries Day (CILIP Logo)
“There are many ways to get involved. CILIP have a great sliding scale of actions, suggesting how you can use whatever spare time you have to get involved.
Libraries around the country are also planning read-ins. Read-ins are a way of demonstrating the need for public libraries, and we have some information and advice on holding or attending read-ins here. If you?re attending a read-in, why not let people know by signing up for the event on Facebook?”
Great list of ideas and event here and here.
If you’re in the UK. Participate.
If you’re not, keep the ideas and the list. You might need ‘em.
